I am...

a total slacker when it comes to this blog thing. I am not the best at writing full papers (unlike my wonderful husband who can have pages of information flow out of his fingertips) and still make sense! I sometimes lie in bed waiting to sleep and think about things to write. Yet when morning comes and other things happen, I forget all about it.

I love reading amazing stories concerning families, mommies, breastfeeding, toddlers, kids, and daily life.

I read posts that make me laugh, or cry, or get angry, right along with the author.

I guess it goes to prove that I am like my mom who is a reader with just about every fiber of her being. She keeps a book log so she knows what she read and how many books she reads in a year. It is awesome. I think she read 200+ books last year? I might be wrong but the woman is a super reader. I like to read but with a toddler I am lucky to read a magazine cover to cover.

As a mom of an almost two year old, the internet is my connection to the outside world.

Not all day but most of the time. Who is going to want to be called when your child is still awake at midnight?

I have made it a priority to attend La Leche League meetings regularly, even if it is just to get out of the house. We try to attend play groups and baby wearing meetings that I have spear headed for our area and I am part of a great group of moms/parents who are starting up a new natural family living group in Chesterton.

I may not be a part of the "workforce" but I am definitely part of my community.

  1. It was only 167 books, but that is an all-time high since I started recording them in 1987.

You have lots of great times ahead.
    Love, Mom
